Yat Guan Pte Ltd has been established since 1931. With our headquarters here in Singapore, we specialize in the provision of wooden pallets, skids, crates, boxes and other packaging materials for major manufacturing companies such as ExxonMobil, Shell, Sony, GSK, Volvo, Becton Dickinson, etc…

Our humble beginnings started with Mr Lim Boon Qian who started the business working as a one man operation in wood salvage and wooden box manufacturing along Church Street. Through hardwork and a commitment towards customer service, the seeds of a successful company were sown.

Mr Lim Thiam Tee assumed the business from his father on 1938 and the business was extended to 4 sites in Singapore; Synagogue Street, Church Street, Palmer Road and Havelock Road. The business started to expand into the provision of wooden pallets and boxes for Singapore’s budding manufacturing industries in the 1960s.

In 1961 the infamous Bukit Ho Swee Fire severely damaged the sites at Havelock Road and Palmer Road. With steadfast resilience, the company recovered from the tragedy and grew from strength to strength. The company expanded by establishing another manufacturing base in Malaysia. It also consolidated its Singapore manufacturing sites to its current premise at Sungei Kadut.

By the mid 1970s, Yat Guan Pte Ltd has become one of the first manufacturers in Singapore to begin providing pallets to major manufacturers in both Singapore and Malaysia, with ventures into Indonesia and beyond.
